A little bit about me....


Jo Robinson Sugarcraft is based in Glenlivet, Banffshire.  I started making and baking celebration cakes for over 20 years ago and decided to set up in business in when my "hobby" gained more and more momentum.

Nowadays, I spend the vast majority of my working week prepping for classes which I run, predominantly, at week ends, where I love passing on my knowledge and skills to all my lovely students.

In amongst this, I still manage to rustle up the occasional cake topper, which you can find details of on their own page on this website, plus the toppers have their very own FB page, called

A bit about Jo

After qualifying as a chef in 1988, I have spent the vast majority of my working life in the catering industry, whether it be in industrial catering or hotels.  

I took up cake decorating as a hobby with the initial guidance of my lovely mum, who was a professional Confectioner Baker before she had children. Under her guidance the one thing I did learn was patience and that a well made cake cannot be rushed and this is something I try to pass on in class to my students.
